Rockford is the third biggest city in the state of Illinois, and largest city in Illinois outside if the Chicago metro area. It is the county seat of Winnebago County and is positioned on both banks of the Rock River in far northern Illinois. It has a population of about 150,000. The theatre is recognized for its merger of Art Deco with Spanish Baroque Revival.
