About South Beloit , IL - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

South Beloit, along the scenic riverfront of the Rock River and Turtle Creek, was initially settled because it was formerly filled with natural resources such as copper, lead, bog iron, buff and blue limestones and more. The buff limestone is plentiful all over the county. The first settlers’ material for their houses and public buildings was this abundant limestone. The City of South Beloit was incorporated in 1917. Illinois has frosty winters with spectacular snows and frosty temperatures but they also enjoy temperate and pretty springs and it gets out-and-out scorching at times in the summer. This seasonal climate is highly attractive to many citizens and the Midwestern way of living is centered on these varying seasons.

When the weather is nice, the area’s parks are busy. Rockford Park District, for example, operates Aldeen Golf Course. This small, local course was once rated the most outstanding civic golf course in the state by Golf Digest. It was also recognized as one of the top fifty golf courses in the country that cost less than $50 by Golf Magazine. In the warm weather, people in the area have a wide array of activities and recreational options to include the local state park, multiple creeks and rivers, and more.

When the weather is colder, there are many museums in the area and a lot of really amazing architecture by important landscape architects, historically significant engineers and even Frank Lloyd Wright. In addition, Chicago is a close enough drive to make a day trip and is an amazing place to go shopping and enjoy dining, theatre, music, culture and more. It has many beautiful parks, as well, but has a special appeal around Christmas and the holidays. Bundle up in your big coat, grab a hot cup of coffee and enjoy all that the city has to offer.
